Happy Foodie Friday!!!! The whole month of Sept we have been eating vegan. No dairy, no meat…NO MEAT (it’s soooooo hard lol).
So this time I decided to go simple and make us a vegan grill cheese. The bread is a delicious Duomo bread I got from Central Market. The cheese was a Follow Your Heart Brand cheddar and mozzarella style substitute.
I must say, it was challenging to get the cheese to melt. We still ate it, BUT we actually ended up really liking the bread and soup more than the vegan cheese. Of the cheeses, I preferred the mozzarella over the cheddar due to its more muted flavor. Not every Foodie Friday dish makes our top list and this one suffered on account of our lack of vegan refined pallets. But that still doesn’t stop us from having tons of fun.
