When I was a kid, I didn’t think too much of dolls. I remember enjoying my Polly Pocket (I’m of the era where they could actually fit in your pocket lol). I also had a Popples stuffed toy that I really loved and a baby doll that I could feed.
Of all the toys I can distinctly remember playing with, I do remember my gymnast Barbie the most. This was during a stage in my young life where I wanted to start gymnastics and be just like Dominique Dawes.
I saw the value in playing with various dolls throughout my childhood, so when my oldest requested a Barbie themed birthday, I was like “Say less” 😂

Her birthday morning started with a hearty breakfast of pink heart shaped waffles, pink homemade whipped cream with sprinkles all adorned with a golden 6 candle. We sang happy birthday before sending her off to school all excited with smiles.

The next surprise I had comes inspired by a YouTube channel Buzzy Bee likes called The Family Fudge. The mom on the show makes some pretty elaborate themed lunches and lemme tell ya, I have a new found respect for the craft.
I surprised her with a Barbie theme lunch complete with heart shaped PB&J’s, heart shaped carrots, strawberries, and cheese, a red velvet macaron, and Barbie gummies 😋. She has since (of course) requested more heart shaped lunches and I’m like “Talk to your dad” 😅.
Once Bee arrived home, she was met with none other than a Barbie dream house that her Ganny and Poppie got built for her. The house is pretty elaborate and requires a full on tour. There’s lights, there’s sounds…it’s a whole lotta house. Her and the little had much fun dreaming up all kinds of adventures for their dolls after Bee got some solo time to experience her bday gift.

I was seriously considering making this girl a pink dinner! I had joked that every year I vow not to do the most and then before I realize it, I look up and the most has been done 😂. Thankfully Bee chose a bday dinner at BJ’s which was an easy decision to partake of.

Since Bee’s actual party wasn’t for a couple days, I had time to make some pink rice crispy squares for our weekly Friday movie night as well as pick up her gorgeous Barbie cake from Susie Cake.

On the final celebration day, I gathered up the cake, picked up the balloons, and headed over to Kid Create Studio Mansfield to set up for Bee’s artsy party.
The great thing about Kid Create is they do all the work for you. All that was required of me was to set up the cake and goody bag table and then I was free to snap pics of and with my little having fun with friends and family!

The final project was a cute little hatchimal! The kiddos really enjoyed making them ☺️

After all the pizza, cake, and celebrating it was time for everyone to part ways. We had such a fun filled day that by the time we made it back home, naps were calling our names.
A little over a week later and Bee still has gifts to open. I can tell you most of the presents she received were Barbies. She got a couple Ballerina Barbie’s, Holiday Barbie, Skater Barbie, Dancer Barbie, Adventure Barbie, Cake Barbie, Skipper Dog Walker Barbie, and others that I’ve just lost track 😅. She has been beyond busy loading them up in her Dream House and playing to her little hearts content.
I love observing her go through the theatrics of their daily doll lives and truly enjoy each one’s specific characteristics. It was so worth it to see her amped every time one more surprise was uncovered to make the experience all the more memorable.
Happy Birthday 6! May all your dreams come true 🥰

Love all of this! Yara has the same Barbie house! 🥰
