For the misters birthday I always try to find something adventurous to do. This year was no different. He had been talking about buying a PlayStation VR console (so ‘spensive). After looking at some reviews, I decided it might be a better idea to test drive the VR experience to see if it was even something worth investing in. Not only did we find a fun new way to hang out, we had a blast test driving our beginner stage VR skills.
Neon Noir is owned by Micah, a real chill super gamer that walks you every step of the way in the gaming process. When we first arrived, we went straight to a room and got the virtual walk through.
What’s really great is Micah let’s you own the experience. Once you’re in the VR world he hops in and guides you, but really allows you freedom to have fun and explore.
There are several level one games that we both got to play. My favorite game was an “Angry Birds” type experience where you catapult orbs into stacked boxes in a warehouse to destroy stuff and cause damage. The goal is to cause the largest amount of dollar destruction resulting in your firing 😂. BEST. GAME. EVER.
Hubby really enjoyed what we are going to call “The Spaceship Game” because we can’t remember the actual name. It’s basically like Galaxian, but a much more hyped up virtual version. You have a little space ship and the goal is to not get hit while destroying the enemy. Personally this game got me exercising due to the physical squatting, ducking, and ninja moves you have to preform in order to avoid getting hit lol!
We both left the gaming experience already planning our next visit. It’s a really chill local spot and Micah is really nice and easy to work with. It’s also BYOB! So next time you’re in town and looking for something new to try, definitely add this to your list. You won’t be sorry!
Hubs and I are always looking for local adventure. Sometimes we find cool stuff in funky town, but this time we found a fun interactive art exhibit in Dallas that was for real out of this world!

Every year when it’s time for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary, we usually take a trip somewhere. This year being in a different financial situation, we decided to keep it close by in Dallas and experience all it had to offer. I had no idea what to expect because my husband can sometimes be notorious for super secret surprises and this year was no different. Join in on the adventures of the evening.

I’ve always wanted to attend a pop up restaurant. I see them in movies and modern tv shows but I can never figure out where the heck these places actually exist! Well thanks to awesome chefs like Sarah and Matt that managed several successful pop ups I now have access to a local foodie first for me. Continue reading “Hot Box Biscuit Club”
So while I was out, date nights with the hubs certainly didn’t stop. There was one in particular that stood out among the rest and it was at Si Na Ca Studios off Magnolia in Fort Worth. This place is a studio dedicated to glass blowing! Continue reading “Si Na Ca Studios: A Hot Date For Two”
One thing the hubs and I cannot deny, is the constant work God does to bring things to fruition in our lives. That is no different for us in the search and purchase of our first house. If anyone has doubts that God isn’t very present in daily affairs, hear our testimony of how we came to own our home…

Among the typical workouts that I enjoy like weight training and yoga, every once in a while I like to kick things up a notch. The perfect opportunity came up this weekend as my best friend invited me and my cousin to a boxing class at Athleta Dallas. Continue reading “Title Boxing At Athleta Dallas”
Have you seen Whiplash? No? Well it’s a movie that is about a young college kid pursuing his dream of becoming a legendary percussionist (I highly recommend). At the end of the film, this kid gives the performance of his life! Totally rocks it out on his drum kit. My hubby and I love the movie so much that this weekend we were inspired to go see a drum performance by one Terry Bozzio (pictured above).

Yep, you read that correctly! Yoga and beer. Two things that can only be combined when someone does it on purpose lol!. This past Saturday hubby and I ventured to Collective Brewing to practice our poses and dabble in some local suds.
