Did Someone Say Unicorns?? πŸ¦„

So my daughter has finally caught on that every year we have a theme for her birthday. This year, she actually started making requests a few months in advance of her big day. This really helped me out because sometimes I can get over zealous trying to figure out what to do and then before I know it, I’ve got too many ideas cooking πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

This year was simple; Bee requested unicorns. I liked this idea mostly because of all the mythical creatures, I tend to favor unicorns myself. They’re so magically majestic with the slightest touch of sass. Plus I think they are way easier to figure out decor for than a Pegasus or Alicorn πŸ˜‚

The first challenge Bee threw my way was a request for a special Unicorn birthday lunch. πŸ˜… Thanks to YouTube shows like Family Fudge, my daughter has become more interested in bday meal theatrics. Thankfully, I was up for the challenge.

I ended up making her a Rainbow Unicorn PBJ complete with rainbow fruit, heart cheese, and unicorn gummies.

Later that day, we kicked off an early birthday movie night complete with Unicorn headbands for us 😊 Of course no one watched the movie because Bee was busy playing with her cousins and friends lol

Even though we partied late, I stayed up to prep for part 2 of her two day celebrations. Once she was in bed, I broke out a fun rainbow table skirt, a 46 inch Unicorn air walker foil balloon and even some Unicorn beach balls.

The next day she was so surprised to walk into her wonderful Unicorn world! We kicked off the morning with a fun Unicorn pancake breakfast idea that I found on She Saved complete with bacon ears and a waffle cone horn. The whole family enjoyed partaking in the delicious treat.

Next, we geared up for the main event; a water balloon fight with some friends from school to the backdrop of a 6ft Unicorn Sprinkler.

Needless to say the kiddos really had a blast! The water balloons were a hit and after all that running around they were ready for their final treats. I chose to make Unicorn Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes. These are so fun because instead of ice cream, you put cake batter in the cones and bake it in the oven. I topped ours with whipped cream and edible unicorn sugar decor.

As usual I did the most for Bee’s special day, but I have accepted that as my normal πŸ˜‚ Hopefully she will continue to be surprised in special ways on her birthday and truly know how wonderful it is to celebrate her πŸŽ‰
