A Virtual Birthday At Neon Noir

For the misters birthday I always try to find something adventurous to do. This year was no different. He had been talking about buying a PlayStation VR console (so ‘spensive). After looking at some reviews, I decided it might be a better idea to test drive the VR experience to see if it was even something worth investing in. Not only did we find a fun new way to hang out, we had a blast test driving our beginner stage VR skills.

Neon Noir is owned by Micah, a real chill super gamer that walks you every step of the way in the gaming process. When we first arrived, we went straight to a room and got the virtual walk through.

What’s really great is Micah let’s you own the experience. Once you’re in the VR world he hops in and guides you, but really allows you freedom to have fun and explore.

There are several level one games that we both got to play. My favorite game was an “Angry Birds” type experience where you catapult orbs into stacked boxes in a warehouse to destroy stuff and cause damage. The goal is to cause the largest amount of dollar destruction resulting in your firing 😂. BEST. GAME. EVER.

Hubby really enjoyed what we are going to call “The Spaceship Game” because we can’t remember the actual name. It’s basically like Galaxian, but a much more hyped up virtual version. You have a little space ship and the goal is to not get hit while destroying the enemy. Personally this game got me exercising due to the physical squatting, ducking, and ninja moves you have to preform in order to avoid getting hit lol!

We both left the gaming experience already planning our next visit. It’s a really chill local spot and Micah is really nice and easy to work with. It’s also BYOB! So next time you’re in town and looking for something new to try, definitely add this to your list. You won’t be sorry!
