On a heated day in Texas it gets ridiculous hot! Like the type of heat that makes you angry to go outside. But there is a silver lining in all of this that makes going outdoors totally worth it.

Melt! Melt is our local ice cream shop located on (you guessed it) Magnolia Avenue. What makes this spot so special? Well, it starts with a super cool interior atmosphere (I’m not kidding, they have great air condition in there lol).  They have bright white walls, cute yellow chairs, and a fluorescent “happy” sign that makes you want to do a little jig.

The menu has everything from Salt Lick (which is Melts homemade salted caramel ice cream)  to the Boozy Buccaneer (pineapple jam and cinnamon rum…yuuummm).

I love that they have an adventurous ice cream selection. And the cute way they name the choices reminds me of all the fun names of my OPI nail polish collection lol! They have such fresh ingredients it’s hard not to sample everything in the shop! The line was too long to indulge in every flavor, so I went with an easy favorite, the Salt Lick.

It’s the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The ice cream is so smooth and when wrapped in one of their homemade waffle cones, you quickly understand why their line is constantly out the door.

I encourage every Fort Worthian to give Melt a shot! It truly is a gem to have right in the heart of Funky Town. There is nothing to lose by stopping by for a quick treat. And even if the line is out the door, at least it beats the heat!
