Being thrust into the mother of two world comes with certain…predictions. I drive an suv, I only wear yoga pants out of the house, I have a faint yet continual scent of animal crackers emitting from my person at all times lol. While some of these truly define me, I felt like when I was preparing for the new stage of motherhood, more thoughtfulness was needed when it came to the type of diaper bag I would be hauling around.
Life is different…not bad, just very different. For the last few months I’ve been a recluse to our home and our family. I feel great about it. I’m just really enjoying discovering mommy-hood and all of its detailed joys.
I went into early labor at 11:30pm 8/29/17. At the time our Houston refugee cousins had just left and we were settling down for the night. I felt crampy but with a different twinge of pain so I ignored it until I could confirm they weren’t going away. At 3:30 that morning I had begun to lose my plug so RJ and I were extremely excited that things were getting underway.
