Busy, busy summer! It. Is. HOT! But not like the regular hot, I mean hot to the point people don’t even want to go outside let alone vacation. Still, we decided to brave that scorching heat and travel a couple hours away for a nice stay in Austin. Were we able to still have a fun time and not melt under the pressure???Continue reading “2022 Family Vacation Austin TX”
Mister and I haven’t been out to Dallas in a while. When it comes to our dates we had found so many cool late night places on Fort Worth side, we kept it close in the pocket. We finally ventured back out to try a new spot located in downtown called Royal 38.Continue reading “Dallas Date Night: Royal 38”
My husband has been raving about Lockwood for weeks now. It’s not just a new bar addition to the Magnolia street strip here in Fort Worth, they are a full on distillery with their own line of liquors! The drink options are as unique and inviting as the atmosphere. I’m sure this will be added to our date night go to’s rotation. Here’s my first experience at Lockwood 😁Continue reading “Welcome To Lockwood”
Have you met this guy? If not, he goes by the name Lou Charles. He’s a Fort Worth based rapper that the mister and I met several years ago while checking out local talent at the back then venue called Live Oak. From the jump Lou has shown some crazy charisma in his artistry so when he hosted this last Louapalooza as usual, we had a blast!Continue reading “Who Is Lou?”
I like magic…and it’s not just because I’m black lol! Magic is a glimpse into the realm of wonderment. But all jokes aside, this local experience really takes the cake.Continue reading “Magic On Magnolia”
I didn’t grow up celebrating birthdays. So anytime it’s a birthday, I try to find ways to go all out for my little family. This year my husband celebrated his 35th milestone birthday. Of course this allowed me the opportunity to be more go getter when it came to planning his surprise.Continue reading “RJ’s 35th Surprise Bday In NOLA”

So while I was out, date nights with the hubs certainly didn’t stop. There was one in particular that stood out among the rest and it was at Si Na Ca Studios off Magnolia in Fort Worth. This place is a studio dedicated to glass blowing! Continue reading “Si Na Ca Studios: A Hot Date For Two”
Have you seen Whiplash? No? Well it’s a movie that is about a young college kid pursuing his dream of becoming a legendary percussionist (I highly recommend). At the end of the film, this kid gives the performance of his life! Totally rocks it out on his drum kit. My hubby and I love the movie so much that this weekend we were inspired to go see a drum performance by one Terry Bozzio (pictured above).
Getting out and about is easy when you like to travel. This weekend Hubby and I flew to Atlanta for my cousins wedding. Apart from the obvious intention to go down and witness this awesome union to celebrate (Whoop!! Whoop!!) we were really excited to dig into some uncharted adventure.
