An Evening With Terry Bozzio

PenultimateFullSizeRenderHave you seen Whiplash? No? Well it’s a movie that is about a young college kid pursuing his dream of becoming a legendary percussionist (I highly recommend). At the end of the film, this kid gives the performance of his life! Totally rocks it out on his drum kit. My hubby and I love the movie so much that this weekend we were inspired to go see a drum performance by one Terry Bozzio (pictured above).

Who’s That Girl?? Exposure From Poshmark

FullSizeRender-2

One of my favorite things about Poshmark is that they are all about supporting their community and showcasing those within their community. In other words, they are really great about shining the spotlight on their Poshers.

Who doesn’t love extra exposure? It’s a nice confidence boost, it showcases a little bit about who you are, but it’s also shows that Poshmark is willing to take an extra step to do something they really don’t even have to do. And that’s why I am so thankful anytime I do get a little bit of exposure from them. Continue reading “Who’s That Girl?? Exposure From Poshmark”

The Following: How To Help Increase Your Posh Audience

IMG_5466We’ve all seen it, and we’ve all thought it…how in THE HECK do these girls on Posh do it? How do they have massive followings and I’m just peas on a plate? Ok so maybe I’m the only one that thought like this, but I’m not afraid to admit that it really irked me. When I started to really focus on my closet in January of 2016 I had 800 unearned followers essentially. I figured gaining more followers would be simple, and guess what, I was WRONG. Dead wrong!

Put It All On Red: Dealing With The Lowball Offer

FullSizeRender-2

Lowball offers are like gnats, they are tiny, they are annoying, and one too many might leave you exhausted from swatting away.

I, like many of you, have dealt with low offers. I’ve received everything from the laughable $3 offer on new Nike shorts that retail for $35 to the $80 offer on a gently used Tory Burch bag worth at least $200. So what is it that makes low balling so common and even more what is a seller to do when these types of lowball offers occur? Continue reading “Put It All On Red: Dealing With The Lowball Offer”

Cheers To A Midday Mocktail

IMG_5370One thing people learn about me really quickly is I am a doer. If I see something I want to try, I do it. That is no different when it comes to cooking food or mixing a fab drink like the one pictured above.

This Margarita-ish Mocktail is compliments of a blog I follow called pineandcravebymackenzie.com. I had been seeing her super fun and simple dishes and immediately wanted to try some of these recipes out for me and hubby.  Continue reading “Cheers To A Midday Mocktail”

Did I Just Step In Gum? My Intro To Poshmark

IMG_5086

(For some reason, me fumbling around on Poshmark for years before finally “getting it” equivocated to the feeling of stepping in gum lol)

I joined Poshmark in 2012. At the time I was working a corporate desk job when a friend came to my cubicle telling me about this app where I could make a little pocket money selling clothes directly from my closet. I was somewhat intrigued. Historically, I have only ever sold clothes to Plato’s Closet, Clothes Mentor, or just given them up to Good Will, so of course I had to check out this “amazing app” and see what all the fuss was about.
