Date Night: Clay Pigeon

The mister never ceases to amaze me when finding interesting places to dine. Lately, we have been fans of this show called “The Bear” so he’s been on the lookout for restaurants that give a similar vibe. On one of the more recent date night visits we hit up a local spot called Clay Pigeon. I never heard of it, but I’m so glad we gave it a shot 😊 Clay Pigeon is Chef owned and operated so it did NOT disappoint!

A Wicked Good Time

Ah Valentine’s Day 🥰 The love, the roses, the overstuffed teddy bears. As you’ve probably guessed, I’m not big on Valentines Day. In fact, neither me or the mister are. However this go around, an exclusive Valentine’s Day menu at one of our newest favorite spots in Fort Worth tugged on our heart strings. Check out our midday lunch date escape.

Dallas Date Night: Royal 38

Mister and I haven’t been out to Dallas in a while. When it comes to our dates we had found so many cool late night places on Fort Worth side, we kept it close in the pocket. We finally ventured back out to try a new spot located in downtown called Royal 38.

I Got Taco Wasted

This past weekend, I got wasted…Taco Wasted that is. Who doesn’t love a good taco? Living in Fort Worth there are taco places around every corner: Torchys, Salsa Limon, Taco Heads, Taco Diner, Velvet Taco just to name a few. But Taco Wasted is a popup Taco spot currently residing on the Dallas side.
Owner Vincent Meeks has broken a very different mold introducing something called a puffy taco. Not only is it a unique taco-sperience (yes I just made up a word) it’s also a very tasty taco-sperience!!

Hubby and I headed to a local church Fall Festival and got to enjoy first hand some delicious taco-ness. It started off with an airy crunchy puffy taco shell housing seasoned ground meat, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Don’t let me forget to mention it’s also topped off with a perfectly spicy cream sauce that builds beautifully with every bite. We thought we’d be satisfied with two but we both ended up ordering two more.

I can’t wait for Taco Wasted to start making trips to pop up on the Fort Worth side. Until then, I’ll be eating my puffy tacos in Dallas and I recommend you do the same 😉
Happy eating!!!!

Hot Box Biscuit Club

I’ve always wanted to attend a pop up restaurant. I see them in movies and modern tv shows but I can never figure out where the heck these places actually exist! Well thanks to awesome chefs like Sarah and Matt that managed several successful pop ups I now have access to a local foodie first for me. Continue reading “Hot Box Biscuit Club”

Pearl Street Station Cajun and BBQ Eatery

In the times I’ve eaten “hole in the wall” food, why is it that Gas Station restaurants tend to serve good food? Seems to go against nature to me. Pearl Street Station is a Gas Station that’s just one of those restaurants. It’s currently situated in the cozy town square of an ever growing Granbury Texas. Birthday Dinner Bob’s Chophouse At The Omni Fort Worth

fullsizerender-5

In mine and my husbands families, every time there is a birthday, we get together for a big dinner. It’s nice because we get to see each other and it helps us stay connected to what everyone has going on in their lives. My birthday is the last one of the year to celebrate for all the families and my husbands is the first of the year that we all celebrate.
